Annual Conference on Helping Children

R head shot(DALLAS, September 30, 2015)Dallas Reading and Language Services’ founding therapist and owner, Rachel Betzen, will be attending the “Changing the Odds” conference in Dallas on October 1, 2015.

The conference, sponsored by the Momentous Institute, brings together some of the country’s top leaders in education and mental health, all united by a commitment to develop skills together to help kids better achieve their full potential. The focus of this year’s 4th annual conference is “Chaos to Connection,” and will stress the importance of safe relationships – the foundation of strong social emotional health.

Continuing education and professional development have always been important to Ms. Betzen, and to the entire team at Dallas Reading and Language Services. According to Ms. Betzen, it is vital that she and all the other therapists stay on top of current research, and hone new skills, in order to ensure that they will be able to meet and overcome any obstacles they may face as therapists.

“We want our team to be more than just a group of therapists,” said Rachel Betzen, M.A., CCC/SLP, the founder and owner of the Dallas-based speech therapy clinic. “It is essential for us to develop our abilities and knowledge so we can continue to serve as quality community partners.”

Dallas Reading and Language Services has been a leading provider of speech-language therapy and reading programs in North Texas since their founding by Rachel Betzen in 2005. They are unique among North Texas speech therapy and language service providers for their focus on working with lower socio-economic families, as well as middle class and higher income families.
